We have donuts & coffee on arrival, do our cleanup on
roadside and then serve lunch afterwards

Gloversville Satellite Chapter Meetings
Gloversville
Satellite Chapter of Clearwater TU meetings every Third Thursday

Pine Tree Rifle Club.
Gloversville Chapter has a Facebook page as well!
Gloversville Satellite Chapter started a Fly Tying Group
that would meet on the first Thursday of the month
at the Pine Tree Rifle Club
to hone
our tying skills and tell a few fish stories. Since there are some newer
members, and everyone can probably use a tune up, the group will be starting
with the basics. This is intended to bring everyone up to the same level and
allow the group to move on and build skills along the way. It is not a
replacement for general meeting noted below.
Gloversville regular chapter meeting is held on the
Third Thursday of the month at the Pine Tree Rifle Club.

Satellite Chapter Meetings

Center for Agriculture and Natural
Resources building

Schoharie Satellite members,
The meetings
will take place in the new Center for
Agriculture and Natural Resources building (CANR) in Room 002.
This room is the new Aquatic Sciences Lab and is spacious with very
comfortable seating. We will be providing free coffee and donuts as well.
The SUNY Cobleskill student sub-chapter of Trout Unlimited
will be having its first presentation of the year and we would like to
invite you and your other club members to attend.

Clearwater Chapter Annual Flea
Market
Clearwater Chapter of Trout Unlimited's Annual
Flea Market will be held Saturday, March 28th this year from 9am to 1pm at
The Albany Ramada Plaza Hotel, 3 Watervliet Avenue, Albany, NY just off
Everett Rd (I-90, Exit 5). There will be lots of vendor tables with all
kinds of fishing related stuff plus some other vendors for non-fishing
interests. A great place to acquire some gear at great prices and get ready
for the season. Admission is $3.00 at the door with kids under 16 free.
If anyone has items to either outright donate, or sell at
the Chapter tables please let me know ahead of time as it gets very busy the
morning of the flea market. If you already know you'd like one or more tables or have any questions,
please contact Bob Mead.

Adirondack Chapter 'Fishmas Eve'
Celebration
'Fishmas Eve' celebration (social event) on March 31st
from 7-10 PM at the Parting Glass Pub in Saratoga Springs on 40 Lake Street.
It's open to the public with the entry fee being $5 + 3 flies, or 1 spinning
lure, with raffle prizes, appetizers, and fly tiers.

April General Meeting of Clearwater Chapter Trout Unlimited
Clearwater Trout Unlimited will hold its
April monthly meeting at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Albany (just off
Everett Rd). April's speaker is TBA. Our guest fly tier will
begin at 6:30 PM followed by meeting and presentation. Meetings are free and
open to the public, all are welcome.
Clearwater Chapter TU received a HUGE donation of NEW fly tying materials from a fly shop
that closed up and left the region and donated their fly tying supply
inventory to the chapter. We are
going to be selling portions of these materials each monthly meeting at
RIDICULOUS prices as a fund raiser for our conservation efforts and renting
the meeting room expenses, etc. Come and get these materials such as
synthetics, furs, feathers, hair, chenille, thread, floss, flash, beads,
eyes, buck-tails, marabou, etc. It is new and not junk!
If you missed last couple meetings we had tables full of
all kinds of fly tying materials selling for basically pocket change. All funds received go right to the chapter, so come to the meetings and
stock up on your tying supplies for winter and find out what is going on with
Clearwater Chapter TU. Help a brother out and get this
stuff out of my basement too! |
Clearwater Chapter Annual Ausable River Trip
Chapter annual Ausable River Fly-Fishing trip at the Hungry Trout will be May 29, 30, and 31 this year.
Cost will be $214 per person and you are responsible for your own gratuities, the same as the last two years.
Includes two night stay, 2 breakfasts and one dinner off the menu.
